Hey There, I’m Jon. Welcome!
My Dad once told me that there are two ways of doing anything: mechanically, or artistically. First you have the mechanical way, where you understand the mechanics of a craft; like what buttons you have to push in order to take a picture with your camera. Then you have the artistic way, where you move beyond the mechanics, and enter the realm of creativity. He said that the difference between something being done “clunkily” and being done with “finesse", is in that artistry. I really took that to heart, and It’s what I think about every time I pick up my camera. It’s at the core of how I go about my craft, and my life in general. There’s no “just going through the motions'' or “cookie cutter” mentality with me.. There’s intention behind every photo that I make. After being a full-time photographer since 2017, I’ve really honed in on the details that make the kind of impactful images I strive to create, and it remains my honor to turn your finest moments into timeless, handcrafted art.
